Georg Roman’s ‘Forever’

PR.

With a classical aesthetic, but a rock-ballad infused edge, Georg Roman is causing waves in the classical world with his potent and dramatic new single, ‘Forever’.

Georg’s musical roots are based within the operatic genre which is evident when listening to his music. He has performed at many charity events and concerts which he himself has founded, as well as performing at places such as the Bolshoi Academic, The New Opera and the Bonn Opera.

‘Forever’ is a hugely emotive track displaying the power of Georg’s baritone, alongside tension building string sections, all ignited with a little bit of rock. Although Georg looks up to the likes of Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo as his classical influences, he also notes Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker as artists who he draws from.

Whilst it might seem that Georg has been singing all his life, he originally wanted to be a sportsman, either a weightlifter or professional fighter, but quite clearly, singing is where he belongs.

Retro Soundscapes in ‘Tennessee’ by INJIN

The 80s may well have come and gone, but singer-songwriter, INJIN, is resurrecting the sounds of this amazing era with a distinctive rock-infused edge in his new music.

A musician from a young age, INJIN would rework the tracks of rock Gods such as Pink Floyd and Deep Purple, and this has given him the tools to create a unique brand of rock music, almost incomparable to anything else.

His latest track, ‘Tennessee’ is an intriguing hybrid of a track featuring pacific-esque wind instruments and a pulsating drum beat that takes listeners back to the epic-feeling power pop of the 80s. The wind instruments evoke a definite native American sound to the song, working unexpectedly, yet interestingly against a background of deep synths and electronic effects. As you can imagine from this, INJIN’s music is far from the ordinary, but you instantly know that there is a high level of craftsmanship and production that has gone into ‘Tennessee’.

Despite INJIN’s unique style, for frame of reference, there are hints of Simple Minds in his music, as well as 80s cult band, Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

INJIN’s tough childhood has influenced his song writing to form the personal album ‘Tennessee’ that escapes from the conveyor belt material being constantly churned out in today’s music industry. The rock ballad title track was released earlier this year with a stunning music video that sees INJIN wandering picturesque landscapes in search of the unknown – definitely worth a watch (and a listen).

Anthony Tullo ready to release new country-rock single ‘Borderline’

New single out June 15th

Living in Ontario, Canada, Anthony Tullo is a country-rock singer-songwriter who is looking to take on the UK music industry with new single ‘Borderline’. It’s a promising year for an artist whose old school style has been compared to the classic likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Melencamp, Bob Segar, Bryan Adams and others, but with an decidedly contemporary edge. Riding the current worldwide wave of roots, country and folk music, Anthony Tullo is an artist who is here to stay.

PRimage

Hugely intelligent and multi-talented, Anthony is returning to the music industry after some years away from the business,  first deciding to pursue his song writing again when a self-written soundtrack to his own independent film captured attention. The movie itself went on to win awards in Canada and is now available globally online, while the result of his renewed song writing confidence in the stellar new rock single ‘Borderline’.

Revered by critics, radio and writers in his native Canada, and also invited to play some of the country’s most prestigious venues, Anthony Tullo’s reputation is already cemented and still growing on the other side of the Atlantic.

His first chance to break into the industry saw Anthony catch the eye of a notoriously difficult to please A&R at Warners over a decade ago, but his progress was halted by the tragic events of Sepember 11th, 2001 in New York. Following that day, the promising start to his career was halted by a label who (understandably) had other priorities, leading to Anthony Tullo leaving the industry for a time.

But now he’s back, a self-made musician with a point to prove. And if anyone disagrees with him, they should probably know one more thing – he funds his music career by competing and training others in the arts of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

This is one independent artist who needs to be taken seriously – in every sense.

Wings of Pegasus soar with new rock track ‘That’s Metal (To My Ears)’

  • Single from debut album ‘Persistence’ out May 10th
  • Raising money for Cancer Research UK through the ‘Make Chart History’ Campaign

Hard rock with an 80s twist inspired by the likes of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Dokken and more, Wings of Pegasus are a rock band with a big sound and a fresh approach to the music industry. With new single ‘That’s Metal (To My Ears)’ due in May, the band are running a campaign called ‘Make Chart History’, aiming to take the independent release to the very top of the charts, all the while donating the proceeds to Cancer Research UK.

Wings of Pegasus

Hoping to whip up a groundswell of support, songwriter Fil Henley is working hard to spread the word on the campaign as well as the single itself – an independently produced homage to old 80’s bands with big hair and screeching guitar solos. Designed to encourage listeners to dust off the air guitar, it’s great fun and the most light hearted track on the ‘Persistence’ album, which is out now.

The hard work is also typified by Fil Henley’s dedication to conversing personally with all the fans on Twitter, and with the number of followers standing at over 50,000, that’s a lot of messages! It doesn’t hurt that the band have the talent to back up the graft, as proven by their appearance in the final of the ‘Unsigned Festival 2010’ at the IndigO2 venue. Finishing 3rd out of 12,000 bands, it was a huge boost to the group who haven’t looked back since.
