Everything Under’s latest track, ‘Happy Matters’, exhibits more of the brooding electro-rock style that the band have made as their trademark.
The band’s individual sound draws influences from 80s synth pop, yet this is combined with a dark, grungy 90s edge.
In 1998, EU’s front man Mark J. Heidecke sadly lost his sister in a car accident. After years of grieving her loss, Heidecke enrolled at Ex’pression College for Digital Arts where he studied sound design, music theory and performance.
Using the techniques he had learnt, Heidecke developed his own unique sound but his father’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease meant he had to move back to Illinois. However after relocating, Mark found Grammy Award winning producer/sound engineer Jeff Lane and drummer Kevin T. Jones, who soon became part of Everything Under.
Along with the track comes the psychedelic video for ‘Happy Matters’ that is sure to send you on an electro-rock trip.
